AGAINST THE FLOW (ATF Camp)

A.T.F. Camp (Against The Flow), based on Romans 12:2, is an exciting week of camp fi lled with fun, games, music, swimming, canoeing, the challenge course, the mud pit and many other activities while learning how to go “Against The Flow” of today’s modern trends, popular choices and peer pressures and follow the will of God in our lives. This camp is led by Monica Holcomb.


KEEP ON SPINNING - Katy Trail Bike Camp

Do you like to ride your bike? Ever wanted to ride the Katy Trail? Want to see some “new” stuff? Want to meet new people? Want to get closer to God? Here’s your chance to accomplish these things and more! Join us for 5 challenging days on the trail this June. Cycling, nature, bible study and plenty of activity to keep you spinning all summer long! Led by Kathy Turner.


CAMP WANNASHINEALOTTA


Camp Dates Grades J223 6/1-6/4 3rd-4th


Join us for an exciting camp where together we’ll discover how to shine brightly for Jesus! This four day camp will have a Yuk Night, full of messy games, an outdoor Movie Night and a Campfi re Night with s’mores, singing and worship. We will take advantage of the incredible swimming, canoeing and challenge course that Jo-Ota offers daily. Most importantly we will challenge the kids to “Shine, Shine, Shine Your Light!” Led by Lynae McFarland of First UMC of Kirksville.


LET’S ACT UP FOR JESUS Camp Dates Grades J422 7/14-7/19 6th-12th


Calling all actors! You are needed to help spread the Word of God. Join us for a spirit-fi lled week as we collaborate to put together a show from auditions to a fi nal performance. We will work with costumes, sets and props to deliver a complete message. Together we will learn about different types of theatre and grow in our relationships with Christ. Throughout the week we’ll also participate in plenty of camp fun, messy games, swimming, boating and more! Led by Elizabeth Anderson.


CROSSOVER CAMP Camp Dates Grades


J224 6/1-6/5 4th-6th


All 4-6 graders are welcome to join this “Tween” camp. Navigating those ”Crossover” years from children to youth-age can be tough, but it doesn’t mean you can’t have a fun time and get closer to God in the moment. Join a group of your friends at this camp and enjoy a week of getting closer to God while swimming, canoeing, going on nature hikes and doing art projects. Led by Nancy Cooper and Hank Jenkins of Missouri UMC, Columbia.


LUNKERS AND LURES Camp Dates Grades J420 6/9-6/14 9th-12th


If fi shing is your thing, then this is the camp for you. We will not only spend a lot of time fi shing at Camp Jo-Ota, but we will also fi sh some other lakes in the area. It is a great time to learn new fi shing skills and techniques from our experienced anglers (aka counselors). There will also be other activities throughout the week, i.e. canoeing, hiking, team challenge course, games and more. We will also spend some time learning about God and each other. So come join us and make some new friends. Who knows, you might just catch that lunker that will have all your friends wishing they had come, too! Led by Steve Martin of Mt. Olivet UMC in Taylor.


FAITH TREASURE HUNT Camp Dates Grades J220 7/14-7/17 3rd-5th


Are you looking for a few days you won’t forget? Do you want to make new friends, play games, make crafts, get messy, sing, learn about God AND have loads of fun in between? Well then join me this summer for memories that will last a life time! Led by Tracy Huffman.
