An early 20th century Bohemian charcoal tinted clear and frosted glass liqueur set, comprising; hexagonal shaped decanter and stopper decorated in relief with a Bacchanalian mask and vines, with six tapered octagonal shaped liqueur glasses, in a fitted case, decanter and stopper 26cm high, glass height 5cm. £200-300
Provenance: This lot is sold with a ‘British Representation Allied Control Commission Hungary’ letterhead paper inscribed ‘To whom it may concern. This is to certify that the case containing a liqueur set, comprising liqueur bottle and six glasses is an official gift to Major J. R. Davidson MC., The Black Watch, of this representation, from the Czechoslovak Government, and it is requested that this be taken into consideration when assessing the dutiable value.
