Triathlete Clive, 66, joins world finals


AMAIDSTONE Rotarian has repre- sented Great Britain in a world triathlon event – with the aid of a replacement knee. Clive Bradburn (66) competed


against 70 other athletes for the world title in the 65-69 age group and was the eighth fastest Briton, finishing 20th overall. Clive, who had a knee replace-


menteight yearsago, performedat the ITU Age-Group World Champi- onships, part of the Pru Health World Triathlon Grand Final in Lon- don.

Tree to be replaced MR Jasvinder has been given the go-ahead to remove a catalpa tree at 1-3 Clarendon Place, King Street, Maidstone. His application for conserva-


tion area consent was with- drawn as current legislation said this was unnecessary if he plants a replacement tree.
