EDITORIAL


In this edition we are utilizing the magazine, as well as our blog, to discuss the issue of art auctions. A couple of months ago we suggested to various sources, including local art galleries, artists, as well as the media, that art auctions are detrimental to artists. We received an overwhelming amount of feedback and it appears there is bubbling discontent among professional artists. Lively discussions took place and we would like to hear from you, too. Check out the article ‘Oh Those Art Auctions’ and give us your feedback !!


In this issue we also talk about a unique place in the world: An amazing space in downtown Beijing known as 798. This extraordinary art park            contemporary sculpture and other artworks. This is in line with our desire to expand the scope of the magazine in order to examine sculpture practices 

Edition, has been a labour of love,


often subsidized by the crew that puts it together. Again, we would like to hear from you … would you support a different model ?


On a personal note, my fellow editor and wife Carmen and I have re-located to picturesque  to our much loved sailboat, the Idle Hour. We are in the process of building a new studio and foundry.
