Artist statement:
“ The natural stone itself has information and appeal so I don’t look for form, but listen to the character of the stone through the act of working, strain the eye, and control myself so that stone and artist can be seen as one with each other. I think of myself as one of the materials I am working with and how I can be projected in the stone. As a person it is possible to become the medium not merely an artist. There is a delicate balance between Nature and Sculpture.”
