ACCELERATE YOUR CAREER AT CARDIFF METROPOLITAN

UNIVERSITY Top in Wales for Graduate Employability

Cardiff Metropolitan University has set its self apart from other Universities in Wales by taking the lead in graduate employability. The University, which is located in the Welsh capital city of Cardiff, has been celebrating a fantastic result in the latest ‘Destination of Leavers of Higher Education’ Survey (DLHE).

The Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) study has shown that 95% of Cardiff Met graduates are in full time work or study six months after graduating from the University. This is an impressive 5% above the Welsh average and means that Cardiff Met is in the top 20 Universities in the UK for employability.

Cardiff Metropolitan University's Career Development Services team has been working with academic staff to embed employability in the curriculum over a number of years. This includes a framework of top quality teaching materials and online resources supported by extra-curricular activities, employer contributions and professional career guidance. Students can also benefit from regular industry lectures, practical study visits and in-depth seminars with the dedicated career development service.

With international students increasingly looking for degrees at Universities that will maximise their chances of future employment, the University is confident that it will remain as one of the top UK Universities for International students.

Cardiff Met has gone from success to success in 2013 as the University was also awarded the No 1 ranking in the UK in the International Student Barometer earlier this year for ‘International Student Satisfaction’. This is the fourth year in a row that Cardiff Met has topped the survey which is testament to both the quality of the Universities academic schools and the specialized support provided to international students from the moment they arrive in Cardiff.

Priyesh Thar, an MBA graduate of Cardiff Met, states: ‘I would say that Cardiff Met is excellent value for money for any student planning to pursue his/her higher education in the UK.. With five massive Academic schools and flexible programmes, it’s a bonus for international students to get the desired international exposure at University with further assistance from the very co-operative staff of the international office and high qualified professors/teachers.’

Cardiff Metropolitan University offers 3 popular intakes every year in February, July and September.
