This educational work was supported by MA student Amdani Juma, who runs the African Institute for HIV and AIDS and works with the Terrence Higgins Trust in Nottingham who provided materials for the project.


Since visiting William has continued to help the village running several fundraiser events with NTU and helping make a difference to the quality of life for the villagers.


Future Careers


The School of Social Sciences has a fantastic employability record, with 97% of our postgraduates+ employed or engaged in further study six months after leaving. The MA Public Health cultivates intellectual and research skills and provides experience and knowledge suitable for effective practice in


a wide range of multidisciplinary public health sectors.


You will be equipped to progress into policy, research and practice roles in the public, private or voluntary arenas in the UK or internationally. For those already employed it provides transferable skills such as independent critical thought, analysis and evaluation, partnership working skills and self- directed learning.


Previous graduates have gone on to roles including;


Health improvement officer, Health promotion senior practitioner, Registered general nurse, Teacher as well as further doctoral study.
