Juliet W. Reid as chairman of the Board of Directors and


Victoria Lowell as WIHS president with Anne Poulson as vice president, Marc D. Oken as treasurer and Laurie Peterson Fellows as secretary. Juliet Reid of Washington, DC joined the WIHS Board in 2007 as treasurer before being elected as president for two terms. She is heavily involved in the horse industry both professionally and personally. She serves on the U.S. Equestrian Team Advisory Board as well as the U.S. Equestrian Federation Committee. In addition, Juliet is the co-president of the Live Oak International, a prestigious driving and show jumping event in Ocala, Florida.

daughter Chloe is a top junior show jumper competing both nationally and internationally. Vicki Lowell of Brookeville joined the WIHS


Board in 2009 when she served as secretary for two terms before being elected president this year. In her professional life, Vicki is the


senior vice president of marketing and operations for Animal Planet and the Science Channel. She is also on the USEF Marketing Committee and was closely involved in Animal Planet’s “Horsepower: Road to the Maclay and the Sporthorse Championship” series. Vicki is also an active amateur competitor in show jumping and was recently named circuit champion in the Adult Amateur Jumper division at the 2013 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.

Anne Poulson hails from DC and


Orange, VA. She joined the WIHS Board in 2008


and was re-elected vice president this year. Anne is a corporate lawyer and lifelong equestrian who now is focusing on T oroughbred racing and breeding at her farm Hare Forest. She is chairman of the Virginia Racing Commission and president of the Virginia T oroughbred Association. Marc Oken of Charlotte, NC has been re-elected as treasurer after joining the WIHS Board in 2010.


He is the co-founder and managing partner of Falfurrias Capital Partners. He also serves on the Boards of Marsh & McLennan Companies and Sonoco Products Company. He was a U.S. Navy aviator from 1968-1973 and co-owns Hi Hopes Farm LLC with his wife Celene. Laurie Peterson Fellows of Middleburg, VA is


serving her fi rst term as secretary. Laurie joined the WIHS Board in 2008. She is the director of T e Peterson Family Foundation and serves on the boards of numerous philanthropic and charitable organizations. She is also the chairman of the Loudoun Benefi t Horse Show and a member of the Virginia Horse Show Association Zone 3 Owner’s Committee. T e 25-member


WIHS Board of Directors includes people from all across the country. Maryland members include Kim Davis of Cockeysville and Robin R. Wilder of Chevy Chase.
