Stanley, who will present Planning for Your New Beginning. The second speaker, Anne Tressler, with Tressler Law, will discuss “Myths, Misinformation, and Misinterpretations: Separating Reality from the Drama.” There are 15 breakout sessions scheduled, from which participants choose four.


Topics include “Take Control of Your Financial Life Before, During and After Divorce,” “How to Avoid Becoming a Financial Victim,” “The Chemically Dependent Divorce,” “When Mental Health Unravels a Marriage,” “Forgive Them? he 12th Annual Living with Breast Cancer Breast Cancer Aware-


ness Association (BCAA) Educational Conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on October 12 at the Min- neapolis Convention Center. Founded by the BCAA, this conference seeks to provide education and resources for providers, caregivers, survivors and anyone interested in learning more about breast cancer. The day begins with coffee,


yogurt, breads and a plenary session. Afterward, participants will choose from 12 seminars of 75 minutes each. Renowned breast health experts will share information on prevention, treat- ment and survivorship. “This program crosses all bound- aries and supports a broad range of healing philosophies and possibilities, from surgical options and the latest updates in oncology to mind, body and spirit practices,” says Ann Harris, BCAA co-founder.


Highlights include an expert panel opening session, Breast Health, Interventional Nutrition and New Technologies in Breast Cancer, featur- ing moderator Bill Manahan, M.D., and panelists Carolyn Torkelson, M.D., Gregory Plotnikoff, M.D., and Keith Knutson, Ph.D. The conference offers an assort- ment of speakers and seminars, a resource center and a fashion show. Vendors will be on site as well, and a luncheon is included.
