Durham Bluff: enabling creative collaboration through play Durham Bluff is an informal game designed to facilitate cross-disciplinary understandings of the concepts and terms prevailing in multiple disciplinary areas, and to encourage links between colleagues working in different disciplinary areas.
It is similar to a longstanding British game, ‘Call My Bluff’, in which players take an obscure term and, as well as defining its true meaning, offer two false definitions or ‘bluffs’.

Transfusion and Transformation: the Creative Potential of Interdisciplinary Knowledge Exchange Hosted over 2 days (July 15 – 17 2014) at Durham University by the Institute of Advanced Study, this international conference examines the creative potential of interdisciplinarity, exploring how the comparison and exchange of disciplinary approaches can offer fresh insights and spark new lines of thought, not only complementing the strengths of more focused disciplinary approaches, but also comprising an important part of the process through which all disciplines negotiate, develop and transform over time.
