Resnick teaches people how to develop what she calls the Seven Heartfelt Strings of Connection. She has adapt- ed the daily ceremonies of wild horses in a manner that allows humans to participate in these rituals for the purpose of achieving the lead horse status with their horses. Horses have an


instinctual desire for com- panionship and bonding. Resnick’s method builds upon these predispositions to create a relationship be- tween human and horse that includes the spiritual element. Resnick defines that as when the mind, body, and soul are entirely shared in the moment with your horse in a bonded connection in harmony and unity. The “strings” necessary to achieve this connection are: 1) bond, 2) trust, 3) respect, 4) willingness, 5) focus, 6) magnetic connec- tion, and 7) desire and energy necessary for dancing.

You open your awareness to everything in the moment and the changing conditions that occur like a lead horse would. To get in a state of mind like a lead horse causes a horse to respect you

She says, “As an Animal Com- municator, I don’t question animals as sentient beings as other might, my profes- sion affords me that insight. Having a relationship with a horse on the most profound level possible, I am able to communicate non-verbally Spirit to Spirit with my body language, thoughts and energy. I am always mindful of my connection when training a horse, should a disconnect oc- cur. When that happens, I stop training until the connection is re-established. One cannot help but feel a spiritual connection when approaching animals in this way.”
