You can dispose of bulky and electrical items through our paid for bulky collection service or at the household waste recycling centre at Burial Ground Lane, Tovil, Maidstone. It is open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 4.30pm, and Sunday and Bank Holidays, 9am to 4pm. Revamped Regimental Museum


The Queen’s Own Royal West Kent Regimental Museum, located within Maidstone Museumin St Faith’s Street, has been refurbished to celebrate its 50th anniversary.


The displays are clearer and tell the story of the RoyalWest Kents and its campaigns. Themuseum’s four Victoria Crosses have been given pride of place, along with the Sutlej gun and a replica of Bob, the regimental dog.

Family Activities at Maidstone Museum this Christmas


Youngsters can find out about their heritage and have fun at Maidstone Museum. Most activities are for the under 12s.
