Masashi Murata is based in Tokyo and provides regional and emerging markets coverage. Previously, Masashi held the role of Chief Economist at GCI Capital and Economist at Mitsubishi UFJ, and is well known in the Japanese financial media, appearing regularly on CNBC. Masashi holds a Masters in International Relations from Columbia University as well as a Masters in Engineering from the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
