Professional riders also compete in the Hindle Pro Sport Bike divi- sion, which caters to four-cylinder sport bikes of 600cc but is also open to triples of 675cc and twins of 750cc. Mirroring these classes are the top two Amateur divisions, Magneti Marelli Amateur Superbike and In- side Motorcycles/Bazzaz Amateur Sport Bike. The series is rounded out by two spec categories. In the Harley-Davidson Canada XR1200 Cup riders do battle aboard Harley- Davidson’s XR1200 Sportster. This class is open to professional and amateur racers. The CBR250R National Race Series is the tour’s starter division for amateur riders. All competitors take part on the Honda CBR250R motorcycle. Points are awarded to the top 20 finishers


in each of the six races on the series (Cana- dian Tire Motorsport Park hosts a double- header event). The race winner receives 50 points, with 42 points going to the second place finisher, 37 for third, 32 for fourth, 29 for firth, 27 for sixth, 25 for seventh, 23 for eighth, 21 for ninth, 19 for 10th, 17 for 11th, 15 for 12th, 13 for 13th, 12 for 14th, 10 for 15th, eight for 16th, six for 17th, four for

Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship has been confirmed for the coming sea- son, with races to be shown on the series website www.csbk.ca. The weekend package will include


lights-to-flag action from the Mopar Cana- dian Superbike feature class, Sunday’s Canadian Harley-Davidson XR1200 Cup Series, and the Saturday race of each weekend’s Honda CBR250R National Race Series double-header. There will also be highlights from the


K&N Performance Filters Pro Sport Bike race at each event, featuring Honda Canada rider and two-time national Pro Sport Bike champion Jodi Christie. Sponsorship for the project comes from

are as follows:


Pro/AM Superbike – 190hp Pro Sport Bike – 125hp


(140hp for approved twins) AM Sport Bike – 118hp


(135hp for approved twins) XR1200 Cup – 92hp CBR250R Series – 27hp
