CHRISTIAN CARAMIN, JULIE ROUTLEY and DAVID FOLLEY Monday 1st to Friday 26th July
The three artists, Christian Caramin, Julie Routley and David Folley play with “Shapes, Patterns and Colours” demonstrate their interpretations of these elements using different art mediums: sculpture, mosaic and painting.
Taking a lead from the later works of Matisse, Miro, Klee and Mondrian, the artist’s use of geometric recognizable shapes stimulates the cognitive memory to evoke the conceptual structure of the artworks.
Reflecting upon “Shapes, Patterns and Colours”, the viewers’ journey into the artistic world of these three creative practitioners will excite their “third eye”; just like a dream, the viewers will believe their experience wasn’t real, but their emotions will be saying something different.
THE THREE PAINTERS Monday 29th July to Friday 30th August
The three painters, David Gray, Gary Pattinson and David Folley have different perspectives on portraiture. This eclectic exhibition not only illustrates each paintersí painting style, but also explores each painters ‘relationship’ with the subject and their admiration of the Old Masters whose style inspired their works.
Gray states his “portrait paintings are an intimate exercise” whilst Pattinson’s inaugural exhibition displays still-life and landscapes. In contrast, Folley attempts to catch the “intimate spirit” of his sitters.

The appearance of any element depends upon the structure of the whole, and the perception of the entirety is influenced by every single part. The sight of colours and shapes is influential to the recognition of patterns and vice-versa .
