From Worthing’s classic seaside to the nearby towns of Lancing and Shoreham-by-Sea, you’ll find the ideal waterfront spot to come and do as much or as little as you like.

Thrills and spills abound for those looking for some action. The coast and the river offer a whole range of thrilling water sports and activities that you can take part in or perhaps you’d rather watch! Scuba diving, sailing, kite surfing, kayaking, wind surfing and more – experienced or just a beginner, they’re all here for you to enjoy.

Take a stroll, or cycle along the five miles of Worthing’s promenade. Worthing’s latest addition is Splashpoint Leisure Centre, a fabulous new copper clad, swimming complex overlooking the sea; great fun for the whole family and a terrific addition to the eastern end of the prom. It takes its name from the long standing Splash Point area; a great place to relax and admire the view; with its sand courts, beach chalet artist’s studios and interactive water feature there’s always plenty going on and with a café on hand for some refreshment it’s a great place to watch the world go by.

There are distractions all along the promenade during the summer months. You can stop for a home-made ice cream or try some cockles or mussels fresh from Mr Seafood. Admire the award-winning pier, pick up the diddly land train or stop at the Lido. The Waterwise garden and playground is a welcome stop.

Come on in the water’s lovely! The foreshore safety team are on hand throughout the summer season patrolling the seafront and ensuring the wellbeing of visitors enjoying the sea, beach and promenade.
