hoosing the shape of your bridal bouquet will depend as much on your choice of wedding dress as on your personal preference. If your dress is heavily detailed or embroidered, it’s often
best to go for a simple bouquet which will complement the dress rather than draw attention away fromit. As a rule of thumb, the simpler your bridal style, themore elaborate your flowers can be. Hand-tied bouquets are the flowers of choice for most brides at the moment. They’re easy to carry and look wonderful tied with bridal ribbon and decorated with pearls, diamante, butterflies or feathers to complement your dress - and the round shape suitsmost dress styles.
Trailing shower bouquets are more formal, more traditional and more dramatic, really coming into their own teamed with an elegant, slim silhouette. They’re a littlemore difficult to handle than a hand-tied, but they’re worth the effort. If you fancy a combination of the two, consider the teardrop bouquet, a little shorter and less structured than the shower, butwith the advantage of being lighter, easier tomanage and flattering tomost dress shapes. And for something completely different, try an overarm bouquet – contemporary, stylish and perfect for those dresses which have a detailed front that you don’t want to hide.
