Tennessee River Rally June 8

he eleventh annual Tennessee River Rally Poker Run, presented by the Lenoir City Civitan Club, will be held June 8 beginning at 11:30 a.m. at Ft. Loudon Marina in Lenoir City, Tennes- see, and extending to Tellico and Ft. Loudon Lakes.
A poker run is not a race. Partici- pants run their boats with friends and family while making four stops along the way to pick up cards for their poker hand(s). This year the performance boats will be traveling to downtown Knoxville past the University of Tennes- see and Neyland Stadium. (The final routes have not been set yet; check website, below, for updates.) At 6 p.m. there will be a dinner party where boaters reveal their five cards to the audience. The best poker hand wins the jackpot of $1,500, and the second- and third-best hands win $1,000 and $500, respectively. Registration costs $150 if paid by
May 30, or $200 on May 31 or later. Registration includes two crew mem- bers, two meal passes, two T-shirts, two poker hands, and admission to the Friday night dinner. A portion of the proceeds will help fund a new play- ground in Lenoir City’s Rock Springs Park that will accommodate children with special needs.
