A 'Kickpitch/Ballcourt' has been installed in the Gilmerton Dykes area as part of the local Neighbourhood Environmental Programme. The facility has been


installed in the Middlefield which is a grass area surrounded by


houses in Gilmerton Dykes Crescent and Gilmerton Dykes Gardens. The facility is already being


used by the local young people and I was delighted to attend its Grand Opening. It was not just about the opening, however. I


had to take a turn in goals trying to save the penalties of the young people.


It’s a superb facility for


local people and I hope it is well used. Well done to all at the local South Office in Captain’s Road for pulling it all together.
