General Information


CERTIFICATION All our full time courses are certified by professional bodies and institutes and our college has achieved Quality Assurance accreditation from these professional bodies thus guaranteeing that all programmes are planned and delivered to the highest standards. All courses are certified by Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC), European Computer Drivers Licence (ECDL) and Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (CIBTAC).


FEES AND COURSE COSTS 1. €200 PLC programme application contribution. This fee is waived for:

Students who are eligible for student grants Recipients of Back to Education allowance


2. A non refundable deposit of €50 will be payable upon application. 3. A student services fee of €50 on acceptance of an offered place. Additional costs may apply as follows: 

FETAC examination fee €20 per module to a maximum of €50. (Waived for full medical card holders and social welfare recipients).


ECDL examination fee €85 for those wishing to sit ECDL exams Beauty Therapy students are required to supply certain class materials. transportation for field trips, approximately €35.


PROGRESSION (HIGHER EDUCATION LINKS SCHEME) The HELS (Higher Education Links Scheme) facilitates progression to a variety of higher education courses via specific FETAC level 5 certificates. Under this scheme a number of places are reserved by Higher Education Institutions for FETAC applicants for entry to a range of third level courses.


All our courses are linked to higher education institutions under this scheme. Our Advanced Business Management course also allows exemption from first year of Business Studies Certificate Courses in the Institutes of Technology.


TRANSPORT There is a daily mainline rail service from Dublin to Sligo which serves Mullingar town. There is also a daily bus service from Athlone and Dublin.
