Course Description This is a one year course leading to a professional qualification for those wishing to pursue a career in the smart business area. It provides students with the skills required to work in a modern smart business environment.


Entry Requirements All applicants will be considered subject to interview. If the Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied has been completed, details should be submitted with your application. Mature learners may be exempt from the academic requirements. This course is intensive and requires applicants to have a high level of ability, enthusiasm and commitment.

Course Certification This course provides learners with a Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) certificate Level 5. Learners also complete an ECDL certificate.


Progression Whilst employment may be sought after this one year course, learners can elect to progress further and avail of our specially devised level 6 Advanced Business Management course here at Mullingar Community College, with the option to progress into second year in Athlone IT.
