to record important deadlines, notes and dates (and if you’re a real master of organisation, write daily or weekly to-do lists and forget nothing!) There’s something strangely therapeutic about making lists and releasing the burden on your mind into writing. If putting pen to paper doesn’t tickle your fancy, use your Smartphone for something more productive than Angry Birds and update your schedule on there. If you’re anything like me your phone is an extension of your hand anyway and therefore a constant accessible source of information at your fingertips.
Thirdly, use your time wisely. Get in the routine of setting your alarm at a reasonable hour, exercise at least twice a week, put the groundwork in at the library on a regular basis and before long it will be second nature. Even beyond University the skill of organisation is invaluable and will help ease the pain of multi-tasking and dealing with new scenarios.

Keeping on top of your workload, structuring your days and keeping your room in order help to de-clutter your lifestyle, living space and head space. I’m not suggesting investing in a Filofax to
schedule lunch breaks with pals at Starbucks, but a little organisation can go a long way towards improving your attitude towards work and minimising stress.
