Letter From The Editor

Welcome to the latest edition of Entrepreneur Country and I hope you all had a restful Easter Weekend, helping you to refuel and adopt a new, energised approach to your business. This month, I’m happy to bring you a magazine themed around this very mindset, with each feature helping you to look at new ways to reinvigorate your business.

Not only is this issue themed around taking a fresh approach to your present strategy, but this month we showcase a host of companies that are innovative, enlightened and willing to challenge the norm. You can’t help but be inspired hearing the story of William Sargent and his company, Framestore, that went from a 4-man band to a company hiring over 600 employees globally. Or Jamie Dunn, a 21-year-old entrepreneur who already co-owns a £10 million investment fund and has spoken at more than 300 events around the world.

Our contributors have also uncovered some fascinating global case studies this month. On page 26, Jonathan Simnett speaks to Amr Shady, who launched the Middle East’s first mobile marketing agency, Mobise, whilst on page 30 you can read Scott Alexander Young’s interview with Csaba Gaal, who gives his take on venture capital in Hungary. Of course, we also profile another set of Young Masters on page 52 – entrepreneurs under 30 with trailblazing ideas and business models that are paving the way for other young budding business owners. Also, if you are a young person between 18-30 and want to find out about our Young Entrepreneur’s Programme, which involves a mentor, funding and business advice, please feel free to contact me to find out more.

We also welcome an absolute inspiration to our cover this month – Sarah Curran, Founder of my-wardrobe.com. Setting out on her business path with a small fashion boutique in North London, Sarah soon saw the need for stores to venture online and as a result, my-wardrobe has become an e-commerce sensation. Read her full story on page 8.

I hope that you enjoy this issue and take on board the philosophy that it is never too late to identify stagnant ideas and discover new ways to rejuvenate your business.
