Ear Candling Classes Offered This Month in Minnetonka
L
icensed massage therapist Christie Lynn will be offering a class on the benefits of ear candling this month in Minnetonka. The
two-hour class will be offered four times: from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., on March 20 and 23. “Ear candling is a holistic approach to ear-related issues,
such as earaches, vertigo and swimmer’s ear,” says Lynn. “It also removes wax and can result in improved hearing.” The process involves a paraffin-coated muslin cone that is gently inserted into the ear and lighted on the far end, creating a vacuum that cleans out the ear. During this hands-on class, participants will both give a treatment and receive
one; however, anyone who prefers to observe only may do so. Lynn, who owns Body Renewed by Christie, is trained in medical skin care, aromatherapy, lymphatic drain- age and reflexology as well as massage therapy and ear candling. “I offer a simple ear candling class designed for the layperson, but also beneficial for massage therapists and chiropractors,” she says. “After attending this class, participants can offer this treatment as an addition to their businesses and/or help family and friends live healthier lives.” Each participant should bring a pillow and two hand towels.
Cost: $25; includes all supplies except pillow and hand towels. Location: Depends upon class size; will be provided upon registration. For more information and registration, call Christie Wall at 612-559-8481 or email
