Travel


Getting to Bradford couldn’t be easier whether you choose to drive or use public transport. Once here you can travel around the district with a great range of public transport available connecting you to all the must see places.


Getting here


By Road: Bradford district is well served by motorways and main trunk roads with the M606 bringing you within 1.5 miles of the city centre. There are links from the M1, A1 and M6 via the M62. Once in the city all main destinations are easily accessible.


By Coach and Bus: Bradford Interchange is situated in the city centre and is served by National Express. For more information call 08717 818178 or www.nationalexpress.com. Bradford Interchange also services West Yorkshire and there are regular buses to Keighley, Ilkley and other key towns in the area. For local bus enquiries call 0113 245 7676 or www.wymetro.com


By Rail: Bradford has excellent rail links and is served by two central train stations, Bradford Forster Square and Bradford Interchange. Both stations are linked by intercity services to London and also have excellent links to Leeds, Manchester and further afield.


Getting around


By Road: Once within the district it is easy to get around with accessible roads to all the main destinations such as Haworth, Keighley and Ilkley within a 30 minute drive and Saltaire within a 15 minute drive from Bradford.


By Bus and Rail: When in the city you can hop on and off the Free City Bus which provides free travel between key locations in the city. The bus runs every 10 minutes throughout the day Monday – Saturday. Metro covers destinations throughout West Yorkshire and Day Rover tickets are available which allow unlimited travel on Metro buses and all trains throughout the day.
