TRAIN TREATS SIX OF THE BEST

It’s a lot more than a Brief Encounter as

John Hulme, founder of

cheshirebytrain.co.uk tracks down some great rail journeys around the region.

Getting Here Travelling to Cheshire by rail is an easy, relaxing experience, with high-speed trains leaving London every hour for Cheshire’s main-line stations. Direct services from Glasgow, Edinburgh, the Lake District, Birmingham, Cardiff and many other places makes Cheshire one of the UK’s most accessible rail destinations. Manchester, Liverpool (direct link from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Liverpool South Parkway station) and Birmingham International Airports have direct rail links straight into the heart of Cheshire too. Whether you’re visiting Cheshire’s countryside, shopping in one of our vibrant cities or taking to the North Wales coast, it’s simply better by train.
