Be Active in the early years
Participation in a wide range of physical activities is essential to allow your child to develop the fundamental movement skills e.g. agility, balance and coordination that can empower and enable them to fulfil their potential and access a wide range of valuable experiences in school and the community.
As a parent you play a key role in encouraging and motivating your child so they develop a wide movement vocabulary. We aim to provide a positive, enjoyable experience so your child has the best start in life. Playing regularly with your child and fostering an enthusiasm for participating in physical activity provides the best opportunity to help them develop the skills they need to reach their true potential.
Be Active through childhood and into adulthood
Sport has the power to give young people the skills they need to develop their true potential.
As a parent you play a key role in encouraging young people to participate and stay in sport for longer. A positive, enjoyable experience in sport motivates young people to stay healthy and active, and helps them learn to appreciate the value of hard work, respect for others and provides them with transferable skills for learning, life and work.
Participation in positive sporting activities helps teach young people character-building life skills such as leadership, handling adversity, teamwork, persistence and compassion. We need your support to deliver high quality, positive and motivational sporting experiences.
