Holiday Monday in August, Ban- croft celebrates with Canada’s largest gem and mineral show, the Rockhound Gemboree. 2013 marks the 50th annual edi-
tion of the event and there are a va- riety of interesting activities planned, including gold panning, rock climbing and workshops on taking raw minerals and transform- ing them into exquisite pieces, known as the lapidary arts. Te Rockhound Gemboree is
