THE Big Green Weekend in Tuckingmill Valley Park was hosted by local conser- vation volunteers


Valley visitors Special weekend held at historic park


A BIG Green Weekend event took place in Tuck- ingmill Valley Park, Cam- borne, providing a chance for people to find out more about the historic site. The park is a former min-


ing area that has been transformed over the years into a very popular, green and vibrant place, and the event was an opportunity for the local community and the wider public to


come down to the park and find out more about the val- ley and what is has to offer. Among the attractions were acrobatic perfor- mances, face painting, a treasure hunt, bee box mak-


ing, a wildlife photography competition, snail races, habitat hotel construction, a welly-throwing competition, bug identification work- shops and opportunities to join in a Green Gym session.


The Big Green Day was hosted by the local conser- vation volunteers who also provided a barbecue and re- freshments for their visi- tors.
