News God bless our pets!
Special service
for special friends
THERE were three special guests at St Euny Church’s annual service of blessing and thanksgiving.
As well as a host of family pets and their owners, three dogs from the National Ani- mal Welfare Centre in Hayle also came along and, as organiser Mar- garet Johnson ex- plained, provided a sharp contrast to the much-loved family pets. Two-year-old Milo had lived all his life outside before being adopted by the centre, while Willow (3) was found abandoned at the roadside, and Izzy was one of a litter of unwanted pups taken in by staff.
The oldest pet blessed by the Rev Shirley Harrison and the Rev Olive Stevens was 50-year-old Tortie, accompanied by own- ers Raymond and Mar- lene Reseigh, and their poodle Oscar.
