fter sticking to the same size screen for 5 years, the iPhone 5 was launched in the United States on 13 September with a bigger display area and taller. It should be in the hands of


Malaysians in the next few months as Apple plans to ship the new phones to its overseas outlets from 21 September.


It uses a new screen technology that makes the phone slimmer and lighter. The bigger screen - 4 inches measured diagonally - creates room for another row of icons on the screen and lets widescreen movies fit better.


The camera incorporated at the back of the phone takes pictures faster and works better in low light.


The front-facing camera is getting an upgrade to high-definition, letting users take advantage of the faster data networks for video conferencing.
