Cricket, beer and music make for great day out

IT IS the start of the new football season and the call from Mel Rayfield, Chairman of Snod- land Town Football Club to players and sup- porters is: “We’re up and running.” Town Talk reported last August that all the football teams in Snodland were joining forces this season. “The club’s senior side will compete in the Premier Division of the Kent County League,” said Mel. “There will be a reserve team in the Rochester & District League and a Sunday team competing in the Premier Division of the Maidstone Sunday League. “The youth and junior teams will field sides in all age groups, from six to 16, as Snodland

There was a leaflet drop in Halling, which resulted in a big- ger crowd than usual. The group was so popular it has been booked again for next year and £125 was raised for each of the Snodland Twinning Association and the new Scout hut.


Hot food plan agreed A NEW café in Malling Road, Snodland has been given per- mission to sell hot food. Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council agreed to the change of use of the building to A3 and the installation of an extractor fan at Snodland Café.
