RECORDING AND OUTPUT
The AG-HPX600 will offer two P2 card slots and an SD card slot. It supports AVC-Intra100/50, DVC Pro HD, DVC Pro 50, DVC Pro and DV. It also offers optional compatibility with the AVC-Ultra suite of codecs, which is under development. The camera is 50Hz/60Hz switchable.
CONNECTIVITY
The AG-HPX600 features wireless and wired connection with Wi-Fi, USB and Gigabit Ethernet. When the camera was launched, Panasonic announced that it would collaborate with video- over-mobile fi rm LiveU to deliver an integrated camcorder and live video uplink solution. The proposed upgrade will use LiveU’s LU40i video uplink device, with more wireless integration features planned. Other options include wireless metadata input, proxy recording and variable frame rates, which Panasonic said would be available in the autumn.
DISPLAY
The AG-HPX600 has a smart user interface for access to the camera’s functions from an LCD display on the side.
