FILMLIGHT AND PIXEL FARM LINK UP

FilmLight and The Pixel Farm have formed a strategic partnership to jointly market the Baselight colour grading system and PFClean restoration software as a fully inte- grated workflow for digital cinema restora- tion. FOR-A OFFERS 4K SUPER-SLO-MO

For-A has launched what it describes as the world’s first full 4K super-slow-motion cam- era. The FT-One (above right) records and

plays back full 4096 x 2160 images, and will record up to 1,000 frames per second. Images are captured as uncompressed raw data on the system’s internal memory, which has a recording capacity of 8.5 seconds. This data is then stored on one of two hot-swap- pable SSD cartridges, with each cartridge capable of storing 75 seconds of full 4K reso- lution images. “While digital cinematogra- phy has been widely adopted within the motion picture production and post-produc- tion communities, there has been a tech- nology gap – the ability to record super- slow-motion images at full 4K resolution,” said For-A president Hiro Tanoue.
