Tell us about the first experience you had showing your work. I’ve never had my work shown except at Pressure Press & Facebook.


If you had the choice to have your work hanging anywhere in the world, where would it be? Anywhere it made people happy/think/feel something.


Explain your process from start to finish. I work as fast as possible. Try not to approach it w/any preconceived notions.


What's the best piece of advice anyone has even given you? Drink lots of water


What are you working on right now? No visual art. Writing poetry.


If you could choose any artist to collaborate with, who would it be? Captain Beefheart if he were still living


Do you feel you fit into any specific movement or style? Outsider. Undeground.


As an artist, how would you define success? Finishing something


Finish this sentence. People should support art because ________ It makes them feel.


When you're not painting, where would we most likely find you? Writing/playing music-not so much anymore.


Are family members and friends always trying to hit you up for free art? Never


Do you think the internet is crucial to the success of artists today? Success? Probably so.


Would you say your artistic style found you, or you found it? Technically i know nothing about visual art-only what i like. I’ve drawn since i was a child.


What medium do you work in, and what attracts you to it? Black ink pen/whatever paint I can afford/oil sticks/chalk/paper.


Do you have any pieces that you would never consider selling? Why? I’ve never sold anything. I give everything away.


How would you describe the ambiance of your studio space? Very cluttered dining room table.


Who are your biggest creative influences? So many. The Beatles, Bob Dylan, my brother Brett, Nosmo King, aforementioned Beefheart aka Don Van Vliet, Ron Androla, John Bennett, Mikey Welsh, David Berman, a lot of unknown outsider artists, Van Gogh, Jesus Christ. This list could go on forever.
