Eastern Airways goes British
UK regional airline Eastern Airways, which operates flights from Southampton Airport, will be flying the flag for Britain this summer, as one of its aircraft has been unveiled in patriotic Union Jack livery.
The one-off Best of British livery – in vibrant red, white and blue – has been introduced to commemorate the Queen‘s Diamond Jubilee.
It can be seen
on the fuselage and tail fin of a 37-seater Embraer 135 jet with Rolls-Royce engines, which flies around Eastern Airways‘ UK and European network.
The airline operates more flights to and from Aberdeen than any other carrier with a fleet of 30 aircraft flying to 21 airports in the UK, Norway, Belgium and France.
Kay Ryan, Eastern Airways‘ commercial director, said: “The Best of British livery will be seen on our scheduled and charter network during the coming months, celebrating both our heritage and the Diamond Jubilee, as we join passengers and the country to mark this
occasion. This year is all about celebrating everything that makes Britain great.“
Eastern Airways has operated scheduled and chartered flights from Southampton since 2003, including its new scheduled service to Brussels from Southampton.
