World Packaging Organisation meet in the uk for the judging of theworldstar awards


What awonderfulweek of intense packaging discussions, deliberations and fun.Hosted by the Institute of Materials, Minerals&Mining (IOM3), theExecutive Committee andBoardmembers arrived in London fromall quarters of theworld and were officiallywelcomed before being taken by coach to IOM3’sGranthamoffice where theywould reside for the next three days for a series of meetings aswell as taking part in the important task of awardingWorldStars.

ncemore the process identified the best-of-the-best in theworld of packaging. 23 judges from22


countries comprised the jury. Judges representedWPOmember bodies; IPPO (International Packaging PressOrganization) was also represented in the jury. The jury considered 243 entries from32


countries; in total therewere 137winners. “It´s good to remind that all entries had won an award in a recognized packaging award in their own countries and represent “the cream” of global packaging design and technology”, explains Thomas Schneider,
