Walk on the moon

I’ve listened to many a good tune, But its never as good until you walk on the moon Seen sunsets on Broadway summer rainfall Bustling people who give it their all Think that you will be happy soon? Well you’re never as happy until you walk on the moon Getting away with petty crime Been in the pink many a time Popping your problems like a great big balloon But you’re not problem free until you walk on the moon Mellow as the month of June Lonely as a tramp who can drunkenly croon Running away like the dish and the spoon That’s what it’s like when you walk on the moon I was there in space to testify Better than any chicken pie Funnier than any crude cartoon Its never as good until you walk on the moon Better than any drug you take Better than John sitting on a cornflake All wrapped up in a little cocoon Safe and sound when you walk on the moon. Sitting and staring right into the floor Imagine the best thing you ever saw You think that’s good you must be a loon It’s never as good until you walk on the moon.
