Ulrich Medical’s flagship product is the CT Motion contrast media injector which can carry out more than 100 injections of contrast media per day.


However amid all this progress a signifi- cant era came to a close in 2009, when our senior partner Heinrich Ulrich handed over the management of the company to his son Christoph Ulrich, who, as Manag- ing Partner, takes over the responsibility for the company in the fourth generation. Christoph shares the duties and respon- sibilities with CEO Klaus Kiesel. Thus, as an independent family-owned enterprise, the company ensures that it continues to be an innovative and reliable partner for customers and suppliers.

So much for history, how is Ulrich Medical perceived nowadays?


In short, we are considered “high tech”. Manufacturing in our state-of-the-art facilities is carried out according to the highest technical standards and our products are renowned for their high quality.

Having made significant investments at our plant in Ulm, Germany, we are proud that our products are “Made in Germany”.

What is your flagship product? What is


it about the contrast


media injectors that makes them so highly appreciated?


What all our contrast agent injectors have in common is their sophisticated technique and high cost-efficiency. A case in point is our new CT contrast agent injector “CT motion”, which needs only to be set up once a day and there- after is usable for 24 hours. Thanks to its two-piece tubing system, the pump tubing can be used for as many injec- tions per day as desired, with only the patient tubing needing to be changed. Together with our unique “CA express” technology, which allows direct injec- tions from all commercially available media containers, the CT motion offers very fast patient changes and more than 100 injections every day. This is what makes working with the CT motion highly cost-efficient. The system is also environmentally friendly and has 93% less disposable waste than conventional syringe injectors. Reliability and safety is of course vital in such devices; there are no fewer than seven media and air detectors and several features designed to maintain sterility. The heart of the system is however our unique and pat- ented roll pump system, which has already proved itself in more than 5,000 installations throughout the world.
