Texas Tap Legend This honor is inspired by the 1989 Congressional Resolution establishingNational TapDanceDay. This individual is recognized for exemplary contributions as a dancer, director, and/or choreog- rapher to advance, promote and celebrate tap dancing,America’s original dance form.
Dance Council ofNorth Texas (DCNT)membersmay nominate an outstanding individual for one honor award each year.
GUIDELINES •OnlyDCNTmembersmay nominate a candidate for one of these prestigious awards.
•Membership in theDance Council ofNorth Texas is not necessary to be nominated.
•While no geographic qualification is applied, preference is given to individualsmaking a significant contribution in Texas or nearby states.
• The individualmay be nominated for only one award each year.
• The recipientmust attend the awards ceremony. • Currentmembers of theDCNT Board ofDirectors and staff are not eligible to receiveDCHonors.

• Photograph, preferably in electronic format • Supportmaterials youwould like the committee to have (send copies since items are not returned)
• If your candidate is not selected, he/she remains a candidate for three years
