Bristol is the cultural centre of the West of England and arguably the best place to live in the UK. In fact, a OnePoll survey, released in 2009, revealed Bristol as the best place to live in England. It followed a survey of 5,000 people which looked at a range of factors, including quality of life, friendliness and pay.

Reading
Unlike our other towns, Reading is not generally considered a location for tourists. Students will, however, be pleasantly surprised by what this town has to offer and its fantastic university. Reading is a leading shopping destination and a hub for successful international companies at the heart of the Thames Valley. It is a prosperous town and has one of the highest concentrations of IT firms, confirming its status as Europe’s ‘Silicon Valley’. Thirteen of the world’s top 30 global brands, such as Vodafone, Prudential, Microsoft and Cisco are all based locally.
Reading is also steeped in history with the ruins of Reading Abbey, a medieval monastery. It also has vibrant nightlife encompassing an eclectic mix of rock and dance nights, global music, salsa dancing
and comedy nights.
