TOKENS FROM THE LATE DAVID GRIFFITHS COLLECTION (Part II)

TOKENS FROM THE LATE DAVID GRIFFITHS COLLECTION (Part II)

The second part of the extensive series of British tokens formed by the late David Griffiths (1940-2011) comprises issues of the 17th century from counties that were tertiary interests to his main collecting areas. Nevertheless, his holdings of Bedfordshire (92 pieces), Berkshire (212

pieces), Buckinghamshire (91 pieces) and Hampshire (173 pieces) are very significant and offer collectors of these counties an increasingly rare opportunity of adding to

their holdings. This section of the sale also includes pieces of unusual shape, or with punning legends, from the Griffiths collection.
