Northern (continued) CLASSES

Sign up for 4 sessions that will establish the techniques you need to be a successful quilter.

Date: 4/4, 5/7, OR 7/24 Time: 10am to 1pm Skill: All Fee: $20

Date: 4/25, 5/21, OR 7/31 Time: 10am to 1pm Skill: All Fee: $20

The key to successful quilting is in knowing how to care for your rotary supplies and how to use them properly. The proper and accurate use of your rotary cutter, mat, and rulers does make a difference in the outcome of your quilt. This class is an essential for all quilters...beginners, intermediate, and advanced.

Date: 4/4, 5/7, OR 7/24 Time: 1:30pm to 4pm Skill: All Fee: $20

In your third class you will learn how to cut and sew on setting triangles, make a flange border, cornerstones, and how to properly measure and put borders on your completed block. We will work through lunch, so bring something you can eat while you are sewing.

Date: 4/25, 5/21, OR 7/31 Time: 1:30pm to 4pm Skill: All Fee: $20

This class is the second in a series of 4 classes to teach you how to quilt. You need no skills or previous knowledge — just the desire to learn the art. Come alone or grab a friend and start your own quilting journey.

Finally...the last class in the series and you will now have the skills and know-how to complete your very own “First Quilt.” You will learn how to mark, sandwich, and baste your quilt. We will cover batting, backing and binding — and, time allowing, we will do some elementary machine quilting.

Classes must be taken in order. Contact teacher for any deviations from this plan. 35th Avenue Sew & Vac Page 19
