Florida’s Coolest Cruise-in There are so many Cruise-ins every day in Florida, it

would be impossible to say which is the hottest. Certainly, one of the most unique is the Fort Myers Cruise-in held on the 4th Saturday of each month from 5 to 8pm. Cre- ated many years ago by the publisher of this magazine, it is still going strong. It’s a very quaint setting on narrow streets with pavers.

There are numerous small restaurants to choose from, all with great food, great service and excellent prices. Considering the variety of restaurants, Downtown Fort Myers is a fantastic dinner destination. D.J. Tommy Tunes plays all the oldies. By the time you eat, walk and shop, the evening is over and seems to have gone by far too quickly. The hot rods look fantastic because their back- drop is the beautifully restored old downtown buildings. This is a Cruise-in where you’ll definitely want to include your camera and an appetite. Get there a little early, because it can get full quickly.

You’ll usually see cars that you haven’t seen before. Many of which come from the other coast because it’s such a fun event. For more information about this and other events, check out our calendar at www.flhrh.com
