Wallow Sound. No, I’m not talking about that noise you heard after you hit something on I-75 coming back from the Don Garlits Museum! I’m referring to a Lee and Charlotte County based band
that
is generating quite a bit of buzz with a unique blend of real Rock-n-Roll
music. Like any good Street Rod,
this group takes a bit of the best parts and pieces from each member, and has care- fully assembled a band that fires on all cylinders and roars across stage with the reckless abandon of a funny car!
Lead singer J.J. Arm-
strong, who is also a pur- veyor of Hot Rods & Street Rods, and anything cool with wheels and a motor, said that this band has it’s roots in the former 90’s Charlotte County Alternative band Slippery Noodle. With an eclectic sound that is not quite new rock, and not quite classic, the band soars through each set with reckless abandon. Crisp five part harmo- nies, honest to John guitar solos cour-
tesy of Chuck Cantasano and Chad Holbrook, and a phe- nomenal father/son rhythm section comprised of Eddie and Deven Starr, leave you wanting to hear more.
Members of the group are
multi-talented, and it is a shock to the system the first time you see them switch places, allowing guitarists to play drums, drummers to sing, and singers to drum throughout the course of a set!
The band performs a mix
of originals and covers and plays select dates at area clubs doing an eclectic mix of your favorite Alternative Rock from the 90’s heyday of Nirvana all the way through the current hits by bands like Story of the Year, and every- thing in between. The band has been together
for less than a year, and has already done shows with Tantric, Days of the New, the
INKLIFE TOUR, and more. You can catch them next, along with some of the best talent in the Nation, on March 30th and 31st as they take part in the Surf & Song Fes- tival in Downtown Ft. Myers.

The band is currently finishing up work on its first CD, which is a 10 song epony- mous album scheduled for a Spring launch, and you can check for more show dates and listen to some early re- lease tracks by visiting WWW.
WALLOWSOUND.COM, or searching for them on Face- book under WalloW SounD. With all four wheels putting
100hp of pure adrenalin to the ground, WALLOW SOUND is ready to rip through SWFL like a Street Racer out col- lecting pink slips! Catch them now, and thank Hot Rods and Hogs later!
