Cultural Olympiad
Want to soak up the Olympic atmosphere but not particularly into sports? Then don’t worry there’s something for you too. In ancient times the Games were just as much about arts and culture as they were about sport.
Animating Weymouth, Portland and the Jurassic Coast, Maritime Mix – London 2012 Cultural Olympiad by the Sea will encompass the world class outdoor theatre, open-air mass performances, visual arts, multi-media arts festivals, panoramic video projections, participative music, dance and celebrations.
Running from 3 May – 9 September 2012 the Maritime Mix programme will create a once in a lifetime experience with the following inspirational events planned, subject to final confirmation:
