THE Family Funeral Service which has become synonymous with high standards of personal service will open in Bearsted this month.
It will be run by Michael Lawrence who has been arranging funerals in Maidstone for 30 years. The new branch of the business will be conveniently located at Cavendish Way just off the Ashford Road, Bearsted - close to NatWest Bank. "As an experienced family owned business, we can concentrate on caring for your needs with commitment and understanding. We are pleased to be able to extend our services to Bearsted and the local area," he said. "A funeral is always a sad occasion but I believe that the level of service we offer can help lessen the trauma at such a stressful time. The loss of a loved one is never easy to cope with, and the
added stress of making arrangements for the service can often bring further emotional upset. With our experience of making funeral arrangements we have learnt how to help families have and be part of a unique and meaningful service that celebrates life."
He added: "Our approach is simple. We sit with you in our office or your home for as long as it may take, and it may frequently involve more than one visit to fully discuss with you how we might accomplish your wishes. We will slowly, but methodically move you through the various decisions that will face you, always providing options for you to select from. “Sometimes, it's just good to sit and talk, and we can provide whatever service and venue information you need to help you make a decision.” Michael explained: "We gladly offer a 24
hour personal service because you have given us a great responsibility, caring for your loved one, which is a sacred duty for a funeral director, and we take that responsibility very seriously."

Make Excel Yachting your first port of call

He has sailed more than 140,000 miles over his 40 year sailing career, having raced around the world and delivered yachts on behalf of owners to many different countries. He has also spent many years teaching practical and theory Royal Yachting Association courses to both adults and children. Training ranges from a two-day basic navigation
and safety course, providing the minimum knowledge to be able to go to sea, through to intensive courses in navigation, meteorology and VHF / SRC radio operators licence, and even more advanced tuition for the Coastal Skipper / Coastal Yachtmaster and Yachtmaster Offshore Certificates of Competence There are also special rates for Company groups, Emergency services , NHS and sailing organisations.
