Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) says we should expect a more interactive experience with widgets on television. Look for pop ups to press and receive a complimentary tapas or mezze appetizer as you watch the NCAA post-season, and the Bowl Championship Series in high definition. You’ll also be able to search and discover, personalize and recommend favorites to friends and family on screens of every shape and size
Turner Broadcasting airs televised as well as online pro- gramming and is a leader in digital media. In recent years, the news and information media company has grown to include the management of some of the most popular sports sites on the Internet. Live events and live sports in full high-definition 1080p are on TBS.
Last May, Turner Sports, a division of Turner Broadcast- ing System, Inc., and the NCAA announced a new internship program through NCAA Digital. Turner Sports and the NCAA offered college graduates and post- graduates an opportunity to learn “on-the-job” with an 11-month, paid internship focusing on digital media. Annually, NCAA Digital offers full- time internship positions in multi- media production, operations and product management and is based out of Turner’s Atlanta headquarters.
Interns selected for the program will become immersed in learning the inner workings of every facet of NCAA Digital, including “March Madness® on Demand,” the popular destination of all sports fans during the NCAA Men’s Division I Basket- ball Championship.
The first interns started August
1, 2011. The 10 interns chosen learned the business side of a major national sports content provider and became part of a team that offers quality content to fans through digital components in other areas of sports.
