Tis half-day seminar will provide an introduction and overview of the new building code requirements, compliance checklists and the new code’s enforce- ment. A panel of local building depart- ment staff will be on hand to answer questions about how local jurisdictions are implementing and enforcing the new requirements. Tis seminar provides the following continuing education units (CEUs): AIA (3); USGBC (3); ICC (.3).

1:00 pm to 5:00 pm Mastering CALGreen: In- Depth Commercial Workshop


Te CALGreen Commercial Workshop will provide an in-depth look at the com- mercial chapters of the new code that pertain to nonresidential construction, covering each section in detail with a fo- cus on application and compliance. Each participant will review a commercial site plan, from planning and design to completion, detailing each aspect of code - and how to achieve them. Participants will also be trained on the new docu- mentation requirements for the submis- sion and approval of building plans. CALGreen also mandates commission- ing be required of all new nonresidential properties over 10,000 square feet, and this session will address the various steps of the commissioning process. Tis workshop provides the following continuing education units (CEUs): AIA (4); ICC (.4).
