Let’s face it: The vast majority of trans- mission shop owners got their start by working at the bench. They know how to fix cars; not develop a long-term business strategy. They don’t have the education or experience to implement a marketing program designed to attract a new market segment effectively. So maybe that should be the first
point on your list of things to do for 2012: Get the education to help you run your business successfully.
